According to US Census data, Dr. Hunt was born in Davenport, England, on January 30, 1859. Dr. Hunt immigrated to the United States in 1875. He became a naturalized citizen. 

Dr. Hunt married Prudence V. Cretons in 1888.

Dr. Hunt was a general practitioner. He was one of a group of doctors who attended his fellow board member, Frank T. O'Hair, shortly before O'Hair's death.

Dr. Hunt died on January 10, 1941, and was buried in Edgar Cemetery.
