The regularly scheduled meeting of the Board of Trustees was called to order at 4:30 p.m. by President Sharon Farris. In attendance were Trustees Mary Ann Tucker, Amy McGilvrey, Mary Taylor, Ryan Fehrmann, Roxanne Michels, Greg McHenry and Librarian Teresa Pennington. Absent were Trustees Jerry Cockcroft and Susan Punzelt.
Minutes of Previous Meeting: MOTION: McGilvrey, second Tucker to approve minutes as read. Motion carried.
Finance Report. MOTION: Michels, second McHenry to approve report as read. Motion carried.
Book Committee: MOTION Michels, second Taylor to approve 16 titles of nonfiction for purchase through the Lucy Bishop Fund. Motion carried.
*The air conditioner window unit in the northeast meeting room has been damaged beyond repair. Horace Link will install a new one this Wednesday June 16th.
*Plaster in the southeast corner of the Children’s Room shows signs of old water damage. McHenry will have it repaired.
Librarian’s Report (Statistics): MOTION: Tucker, second McHenry to approve report as read. Motion carried.
Friends of the Library: McGilvrey reported that the next meeting is June 21st at 6:00 p.m. The Friends will be overseeing the annual Book Sale the second week in June.
Audit Committee: McHenry and Michels will meet at the library Wednesday June 23rd to review library accounts that are not administered through the City of Paris.
*Pennington has purchased three computers from Parkway Computers (cost 2400.00) from Phase 1 Gates grant funds of $7800.00.
MOTION: Fehrmann, second McGilvrey to approve the 2009-2010 Annual Report. Motion carried.
*Next meeting will be Monday, July 12 at 4:30 p.m. in the Gibson Room.
